Palestinian ambassador to Morocco Jamal Choubki praised King Mohammed VI’s commitment to defend Palestinians’ rights, and said that Morocco’s presidency of the Human Rights Council, which is explained by the country’s international and regional openness, is comforting.
Choubki was speaking at the opening of the Fifth National Congress of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) on Friday in Bouznika.
The ambassador highlighted the joint Palestinian and Moroccan fight, which is exemplified by the presence of the famous “Moroccans’ Neighborhood” in Al Quds.
The priority for Gaza now is to halt Israeli assaults and injustice, release Palestinian prisoners, and reject any plans to displace Palestinians, said the ambassador.
He said that the Palestinian cause is facing new challenges, like the “genocide” Israeli is using to erase the Palestinian presence and any political horizon that might give Palestinians a right to self-determination.
He added that his people are facing a “war of extermination” on a daily basis, and are, however, resisting colonialism and fighting for their dignity.
The Palestinian ambassador called on the international community to stand by the Palestinian people and their just cause, and stop the genocide that is happening in Gaza as well as the Israeli aggression that pays little heed to international and humanitarian laws.
