Rain and snow are expected on Thursday and Friday in several provinces of Morocco, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).
DGM has predicted that the meteorological situation will change due to the approach of a depression from Western Europe, which will favor the establishment of a westward flow conducive to precipitation in Morocco.
Clouds accompanied by moderate to sometimes heavy rains will affect the northern and central Atlantic plains from Thursday night and throughout the day on Friday, then extend to the inland regions, the Atlas Mountains, the Rif, and the east of the country.
Snowfall is also expected on Friday and Saturday on the peaks of the High and Middle Atlas, and possibly in the east of the Rif, accompanied by a drop in temperatures.
This meteorological disturbance will also be accompanied by winds with moderate to strong gusts on Friday and Saturday in the North, Central, mountainous regions, and the eastern region.
Rain showers are still expected on Saturday in the north and center of the country, the Atlas Mountains, the Rif, and the northeast of the country.
On Sunday, residual rain is still expected in the north and northeast of the country and the Rif and Middle Atlas ranges.
The weather is forecasted to gradually stabilize afterward, with relatively cold temperatures in the Atlas Mountains, southeast, and eastern high plateaus during the early morning and overnight hours.
