The Israeli carrier “EL Al Israel Airlines” will not fly to Marrakech this summer–nor to Dublin, Ireland–due to the Israel-Gaza war, reported the Israeli outlet “The Times of Israel” on Monday.
Flights to Marrakech were suspended in early October due to Israeli travel restrictions, said the Israeli source.
As for Dublin flights, they were curtailed a few weeks after the start of the armed conflict in the Gaza strip.
Meanwhile, Moroccan airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) suspended all flights to and from Israel starting from October 8, the day following the war’s inception.
Israel issued a travel warning for Egypt, Jordan, and Morocco on October 21, over concerns that Israeli visitors could be targeted by emotionally charged individuals due to the current conflict between Israel and Hamas.
Two thousand Moroccan tourists visited Israel during the first six months of 2023, a 66.67% increase year-on-year, according to the Israel Central Bureau of Statistics release in August.
