The Almeria Senator Hotel Group recently announced its 2024 expansion strategy, touting a new hotel in Dakhla in the Moroccan Sahara region, according to a press release issued by the Spanish hotel chain.
The forthcoming “Senator Babylon,” a 50-room hotel comprised of double rooms and suites, slated for opening in mid-May 2024, will be the group’s first overseas venture.
The Delight Collection’s Senator Babylon resort, nestled by the sea, will continue to expand after its opening, in line with the group’s targeted international development.
The investment brand described the city’s charm, calling Dakhla “a booming tourist destination thanks to the variety of activities and landscapes it offers. From a camel or 4×4 ride through the desert, to an excursion to the Imlili Lakes.”
The new resort will feature a spa, a heated indoor pool, and various dining options such as a breakfast buffet, a restaurant serving traditional seafood and other cuisines, and a bar for visitors and residents.
Dakhla, a popular choice for hotel groups due to its natural beauty, water sports attractions, and diverse cultural and gastronomic offerings, is a prime investment destination. Its serene sandy beaches, such as White Dune and Dragon Island, combined with Spanish, Arabic, and Moroccan influences, make it a popular destination for water sports enthusiasts.
