The Arab League Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) and the Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports inked a comprehensive agreement on Sunday in Tunis aimed at enhancing collaboration in the sphere of education and training.
Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, and Jamal Eddine El Aloua, Secretary-General of the National Commission for Education, Science, and Culture, were the signatories of the agreement.
The agreement, signed at the inaugural ALECSO Forum for Business and Partnerships, covers the launch of three projects presented by the Ministry of National Education. They focus on artificial intelligence in education, the development of digital skills among Arab children, and efforts to assist individuals with autism spectrum disorders.
El Aloua highlighted the necessity of implementing projects to expand ALECSO’s partnership with the Ministry of National Education, characterizing the gathering as an opportunity to work collaboratively and share experiences.
He also highlighted the Ministry’s ability to contribute to common projects and programs addressing the most pressing needs of students.
The two-day forum seeks to act as an opportunity for regional and international organizations to exchange ideas, set up new collaboration models, and engage in joint endeavors that benefit member countries.
Established in 1970 and headquartered in Tunis, ALECSO is an entity which falls under the Arab League’s umbrella. Its mission is to promote the Arabic language, develop education, culture, and sciences at regional and national levels, and to advance human resources in Arab countries, thereby enhancing the Arabic language and Arab-Muslim culture overall on a global scale.
