Florida-based company Summit Technologies, specializing in cybersecurity and computer operating systems, secured a comprehensive contract valued at $40 million to provide the Royal Moroccan Air Force with mission planning support services until December 31, 2024, announced The U.S. Defense Department on Tuesday.
This contract provides for continued mission planning support consisting of the UNIX-Mission Planning System, portable flight planning system, joint mission planning system, and joint precision airdrop system.
The assignments will be fulfilled in locations worldwide, with Hill Air Force Base, Utah, serving as the hub.
The contract also involves Foreign Military Sales to Morocco–among other countries–which include Canada, Denmark, Egypt, France, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Korea, and the United Kingdom.
The Department of Defense indicated that this contract was a sole source acquisition.
Simultaneous to the deal, the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Hill AFB in Utah is pledging $1,820,154 in fiscal 2024 operation and maintenance funds.
