Minister of Health and Social Protection Khalid Ait Taleb inaugurated nine urban and rural healthcare facilities in the Fes-Meknes region on Tuesday. They include the emergency department and medical laboratory at the Mohammed V Regional Hospital in Sefrou.
Ait Taleb said that three urban and rural health centers were inaugurated in the Taounate province, namely the Taounate urban health center, along with two rural health centers in Ain Khemis and Bni Oulid.
In the Taza province, a rural health center in Sidi Ali Bourakba–as well as two rural health dispensaries in Asrir and Becheyine–were launched.
In the Moulay Yacoub province, services commenced at the urban health center and medical emergency facility for the Moulay Yaâcoub area, as well as the urban health center in Dar Dbibegh in Fes.
The Sefrou province saw the re-emergence of the emergency department and medical laboratory at the Mohammed V Regional Hospital after their renovation, which aims to enhance the healthcare services for the city’s residents and surrounding areas, with a focus on medical and biological emergency services, radiological examinations, trauma care, and emergency resuscitation. The rural health center in Ain Echekak was also inaugurated.
These healthcare facilities are equipped with high-quality medical equipment and expert human staffing to ensure the delivery of medical and therapeutic services to the targeted population. These services encompass general medical examinations, nursing care, monitoring of chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, maternal and pediatric health, school health, and health education public relations, along with epidemiological surveillance and mobile health services.
These new healthcare institutions aim to meet the increasing demand for healthcare services, improve their accessibility, enhance their quality, and set the bar for a new standard of primary healthcare institutions.
