The Federation of African Football (CAF) granted Morocco the hosting rights for the upcoming African Futsal Nations Cup, according to a press release issued by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) on Wednesday.
The competition has been scheduled for April of this year and will serve as a qualifying event for the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Uzbekistan, with 24 teams competing.
Morocco is hosting the African Championship for the second time, following its success in Laayoune (the Sahara’s largest city) in 2020, when the Moroccan team was crowned champion, having previously won the title in 2016.
