U.S. News & World Report has ranked Morocco the second best country in the Arab world and Africa for the richness of its “Heritage,” while placing the Kingdom 14th worldwide in its recent rankings of best countries.
The heritage category measures countries that have shaped history with their culture and distinctive traditions rather than their economic prowess or technological advances.
Egypt came in at No. 1 on the Arab and Africa list, followed by Morocco, while South Africa came in third for Africa, and Jordan finished third in the Arab world.
Italy took the lead in the ranking, followed by Greece and Spain.
The Report had previously ranked Morocco as No. 1 in Africa and No. 4 in the Arab world for its “quality of life.”
The “heritage” ranking is based on factors that include cultural accessibility, richness of history, great food, and cultural and geographical attraction.
