Chelsea FC’s women’s squad landed in Agadir on Friday for a training camp after their mid-season break, as reported by the English club on its official website recently. They are slated to fly back today.
The Blues picked Morocco for its mild weather to prepare for five matches over three different tournaments in January. The squad’s activities in Morocco will be covered via the club’s channels, the club stated, urging supporters to keep an eye on them.
The London squad chose Agadir because of its excellent sporting facilities, in conjunction with SONARGES, the corporation charged with managing the Grand Stadium sporting complex in the city, which will be made available to the English team for training.
The Blues spent the Saturday at the Argan Oil Museum and learned how it’s produced and processed, tweeted the team.
Chelsea FC Women are likely to face West Ham United in the fourth round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup on Sunday, January 14 at Kingsmeadow.
This precedes two matches against Manchester United in the Women’s Super League on Sunday, January 21, and Real Madrid in the UEFA Women’s Champions League on Wednesday, January 24.
