Morocco’s Court of Cassation and National Police (DGSN) signed a bilateral agreement in Rabat on Wednesday centered around skills development and the exchange of expertise in judicial and and scientific spheres.
The agreement, endorsed by M’hammed Abdennabaoui, the First President of the Cassation Court, and Abdellatif Hammouchi, Head of DGSN, seeks to build a collaborative framework across areas of mutual interest and strengthen working relationships between judiciary bodies and the DGSN.
In a press statement, Mohamed Namiri, Vice-President of the Cassation Court, underlined the agreement’s alignment with the institutions’ longtime alliance, as well as its role in supporting good governance in human resource management.
Under the agreement, the Cassation Court will expand its operations to facilitate workforce development within DGSN, according to Namiri.
The need for the collaboration stems from the interconnected functions of the DGSN, which is in charge of law enforcement, and the Cassation Court, which ensures the proper execution of the law, according to Rochdi Asbayti, Head of the Legal Studies and Affairs Division at the DGSN.
The agreement is intended to promote cooperation between the two bodies by encouraging consultation on mutual concerns and protecting individual and group rights, thereby advancing effective judicial procedures and administration.
