The American business news outlet Bloomberg chose Morocco among the 24 Best Places to Travel in 2024, despite the destructive earthquake that took place last September.
Morocco welcomed more than 14 million visitors last year, one million more compared to the pre-covid 19 era, due in great part to tourist officials encouraging visitors to venture outside Marrakech.
The media highlighted must-see attractions and luxurious hotel stays in Tangier (Villa Mabrouka and Fairmont Tazi Palace), Rabat (Kasr Al Bahr/ Four Seasons hotel), and Marrakech (Nobu Hotel and Izza).
The best period to visit the Kingdom is between March and May, or between mid-September and mid-December, as the summer and winter months often bring temperatures either too hot, or too cold for swimming.
Bloomberg listed several regions and countries in its top 24 destinations, such as Quito (Ecuador), Dominican Republic, Busan (S. Korea), Argentina, Amboseli National Park (Kenya), Belfast (Ireland), Lima (Peru), Kangaroo Island (Australia), Bergen (Norway), Halifax and Ucluelet (both in Canada), Hong Kong, Palau (Philippines), Malta, Tuscany (Italy), Cayman Islands, Transylvania (Romania), and San Sebastián (Spain). The USA’s Boston, Aspen, Las Vegas, Montecito, and the Willamette Valley are also on the list.
