IDA Morocco, in partnership with the Italian Diplomatic Academy and the World Council for Youth and Diplomacy, announced the launch of its ambitious “Young Ambassadors to the United Nations” project.
This unique program endeavors to assist young Moroccans between the ages of 15 and 28 as they embark on a four-month course–comprising 180 hours of training–which is designed to prepare them for the complex realities of international politics, economics and diplomacy.
The program is divided into two complementary modules: sessions, seminars, conferences and debates in Morocco, followed by an immersive workshop in the heart of New York City at United Nations headquarters.
Using advanced teaching methods such as the hands-on approach, cooperative-learning, and role-playing, the program aims to combine academic theory with diplomatic practice.
The initiative seeks to improve public speaking, collaboration, stress management, problem solving, and English proficiency. Young people will be able to comprehend and connect well with a variety of work groups, forming informal interpersonal ties that will be valuable in a variety of international settings.
The curriculum adheres to the High Royal Instructions and the National Education and Training Charter of Morocco. It is in line with the GENIE initiative for ICT integration in education, which promotes education tailored to the nation’s socioeconomic context.
The training in Morocco lays the groundwork for the immersion experience in Manhattan, where participants will deal with the multifaceted reality of politics, economics, and international diplomacy.
This training week in New York will include seminars, interactions with world-renowned experts, discussions, and cultural tours.
Participants will receive a thorough briefing on worldwide concerns and global tensions, as well as means for peaceful conflict resolution. They will also be taught how to participate in discussions, write and present in English, and integrate and orient themselves more successfully in the workplace.
IDA Maroc is committed to developing a new generation of experts capable of enriching their cultural and professional portfolios through high-quality academic exchange programs, thereby contributing to the emergence of competent and efficient leaders capable of navigating and flourishing in Morocco’s social and economic fabric and beyond.
