The twinning program between the Public Prosecutor’s Offices of Morocco and Spain represents another facet of collaboration between the two neighboring Kingdoms, bound by ancestry and confronting shared challenges in the areas of justice and the fight against crime, said El Hassan Daki, head of the Public Prosecutor’s Office on Tuesday in Rabat.
Speaking at the program’s concluding ceremony, Daki emphasized that this effort demonstrates Morocco’s advanced standing with the EU and highlights a different facet of the cooperative ties between the two adjacent Kingdoms.
He continued saying that the two Kingdoms confront shared challenges in the areas of justice and counterterrorism.
To establish a model of cooperation between the two nations and the two shores of the Mediterranean–particularly with regard to their Euro-Mediterranean and Euro-African dimensions–the two Kingdoms must step up their efforts and utilize all available mechanisms of cooperation.
Ricardo Diez-Hochleitner Rodriguez, the Spanish ambassador to Morocco, emphasized that this synchronization program details the extensive collaboration between Madrid and Rabat in a number of areas.
The Moroccan Public Prosecutor’s Office and the European Union Delegation now have more opportunities to collaborate, according to Jean-Christophe Filori, Head of Cooperation within the EU Delegation to Morocco.
The collaboration agreement between the Kingdom of Morocco and the EU to encourage judicial reform does actually specify this twinning initiative.
Its primary objective is to support the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Morocco in bolstering its institutional capabilities so that it may function more efficiently and enhance the performance of the various affiliated local and regional prosecutorial staff.
