Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez will pay an official visit to Morocco during which King Mohamed VI will receive him, reported Spanish-speaking news outlet OK Diario on Monday.
Sanchez wrote on “X” (formerly Twitter) on November 28 that he recently had a conversation with Morocco’s head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch.
“We have agreed on the importance of the friendship between Spain and Morocco. Therefore, we want to promote the already-agreed-upon bilateral agenda and explore the new opportunities offered by this renewed relationship,” he said. “We will also promote a closer relationship between Morocco and the European Union.”
Sanchez and Akhannouch co-chaired the 12th High-Level Meeting held in Rabat on Feb 1-2, 2023, which culminated in no fewer than 19 memorandums of understanding between the two nations.
