Chief of Interpol Ahmed Naser Al Raisi held a meeting with Abdellatif Hammouchi, Head of Morocco’s National Police (DGSN) and Territorial Surveillance (DGST), on Friday in Vienna, as part of Interpol 91st General Assembly.
The talks focused on Morocco’s steadfast support for global security and its initiatives to fight terrorism. The meeting comes at a critical moment in the fight against transnational organized crime, with all nations pooling efforts to rise to such challenges.
The head of Interpol congratulated Hammouchi on Morocco’s successful bid to host the 93rd Interpol General Assembly in Marrakech in 2025. The bid’s endorsement by the International Criminal Police Organization’s member states shows a renewed confidence in Morocco and its security institutions.
Hammouchi had expressed gratitude for all the support Morocco had received and emphasized the country’s dedication to fostering international cooperation against emerging security threats.
The member states had commended Morocco as a safe country and a dependable ally in promoting stability and security around the world.
