FIFA Ranking: Morocco’s Atlas Lions Still in 13th Place
Morocco’s men’s national football team dominated 13th place in the latest men’s world ranking of 210 teams released by the International Federation of Football Association (FIFA) on Thursday.
Argentina stood atop the FIFA rankings, cementing its status as a football juggernaut. The other teams in the top three are France and England, with Belgium, Brazil, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, and Italy filling out the top ten.
The Atlas Lions remained Africa’s premier team, with a total of 1661.69 points, with 3.20 points up from October’s ranking total points 1658.49.
Senegal came close behind in 20th place. Morocco is also the top team in the Arab world, with Tunisia ranking second in 28th place overall.
Morocco’s exceptional international record, which includes victories against Spain, Portugal, and Belgium in the December 2022 World Cup, has solidified the country’s place. Despite losing to France 2-0, Morocco’s World Cup performance has influenced African and Arab football nations.
