Five companies from the Asturias region in northern Spain are currently on a business trip through December 1 to explore business opportunities in Morocco, stated Asturex, the Foreign Promotion Society Principality of Asturias, on Tuesday.
The diverse companies participating in this commercial mission are Normagrup Technology, Hierros y Carbones, Maprinsa, Adaro Tecnología and Bulteck MIning Systems.
The trip is to maximize the potential for Asturias to become a significant export region for goods and services in the metal and construction sectors, promoting the Asturian businesses internationally and increasing the presence of its companies in international markets.
Participants will have the opportunity to hold meetings with Moroccan companies and entities.
Asturias’ exports to Morocco in 202152 million euros of products.
“Commercial relations between Spain and Morocco are very relevant, with our country being Morocco’s main supplier and client in the world,” Asturex stated. “In fact, it is a priority country within the ‘Horizon Africa’ strategy of [Spain’s] Secretary of State for Commerce.”
Asturex is part of the Sekuens Group to promote internationalization in Asturias. Participation in the business trip is part of its International Promotion Plan for the metal and construction sector for the year 2023.
