Exxelia Morocco, a subsidiary of French Group Exxelia, inaugurated its new factory in Mohammedia on Thursday, announced the company on the same day.
Secretary-General of Industry and Trade Ministry Taoufiq Moucharraf, CEO of the Exxelia Group Paul Maisonnier, and Managing Director of Exxelia Morocco Laurent Guth attended the opening ceremony.
The site stretches over a surface area of 10,000 m2 and boasts new production facilities. The plant currently employs around 700 workers, and focuses on manufacturing complex electronic components and electro-mechanical subsystems intended for advanced industrial markets such as aviation, space, medical, and rail sectors.
Exxelia Maroc products are used by platforms like A350 or B787 aircraft, the OneWeb satellite constellation, medical imaging devices such as MRI and scanners, and in high-speed train safety equipment.
“This factory, specialized in manufacturing parts and components primarily for the aerospace industry, reflects the competitiveness and attractiveness of the Moroccan industrial sector,” said Moucharraf.
Paul Maisonnier stated that Morocco is a very important country in the development of Exxelia, which has been there for more than 30 years, adding that this new plant confirms the group’s desire to pursue its growth in the Kingdom and to produce high-reliability parts that will serve prestigious fields such as aeronautics and space.
French Exxelia Group has been present in Morocco since 1998, with two factories located in Casablanca.
