Morocco’s Ministry of Education has launched a free “remote” digital educational support program for all levels students via the national learning platform known as “TelmidTICE,” which will also be available on the platform’s mobile app, the ministry announced in a statement on Wednesday.
The program includes online illustrative teaching courses, interactive exercises, as well as sample certification examinations that are compatible with the national curriculum.
TelmidTICE already has approximately 12,500 digital suppliers, offering about 11,000 teaching courses, nearly 1,000 exercises, and more than 500 forms of certification examinations.
According to the ministry, the platform is user-friendly and easy to navigate. It includes a smart catalog to help learners access the subject matter and competencies they want to acquire, and features such as sharing and continuous updating of each subject, allowing users to share the updates and lessons available in accordance with the national curriculum.
The initiative is part of Morocco’s move toward using modern technology at all levels of education, especially to address problems with student learning in a timely manner and promoting basic education and necessary skills.
Students can access the platform from multimedia classrooms, their homes, as well as through the platform’s mobile application.
