Morocco Took Part in 47 Military Maneuvers, Trained Almost 1,900 Foreign Military Personnel

Morocco has participated in 47 military exercises with various countries thus far in 2023, as 1,869 foreign officers and class officers have received military training here, with the primary objectives being to enhance operational ground readiness and capability, reported the Defense administration.

The Kingdom’s Air Forces recently conducted a joint mission with France–an exercise under the name “Tafilalet”–which allowed for strategic exchanges and the strengthening of the nations’ existing bilateral relationship.

Spain, as well, was a key partner, integrating engineering components as part of a program focused on disaster management.

The Royal Armed Forces, together with their Belgian counterparts, participated in specialized exercises, focusing on high-altitude skydiving and infiltration techniques.

In addition, close cooperation with the United Kingdom was established through the Royal Gibraltar Regiment’s training in the desert near Marrakech.

Pakistan also joined the list of strategic partners–with particular emphasis on special forces–thereby contributing its expertise in this sector.

Earlier this year, the multinational military exercise “African Lion 2023” was also conducted in cooperation with the United States, taking place in several cities and involving 40 nations, NATO and the African Union.
