Moroccan players, teams, and coaches alike emerged as serious competitors in several categories as CAF has released the nominations for the CAF Awards 2023, marking an important accomplishment for women’s football in the country.
A panel of CAF technical experts, legends, and media representatives acknowledged the rising prominence of Moroccan world football, highlighting the country’s devotion to sporting excellence for its achievements during the period from December, 2022 to November, 2023.
Anissa Lahmari, Fatima Tagnaout, Ghizlane Chebbak, and Khadija Er-Rmichi have earned their places among the contenders for the Player of the Year (women’s) category.
In the Goalkeeper of the Year (women’s) category, Imane Abdelahad of Morocco’s SC Casablanca stands tall among the nominees, demonstrating her exceptional efforts between the goalposts.
