The Congress intends to highlight the critical role of media in sustainability, innovation, and education, with a particular focus on youth participation from across the world, including students from a variety of universities. The event also seeks to demonstrate the most recent technology and developments that are changing the face of media’s future.
Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, addressed the audience–underscoring the event’s relevance for the future of the field–and urging industry experts to harness technological breakthroughs for the promotion of the “fourth estate.”
In his statement, Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, Director General of the UAE News Agency (WAM) and President of the Organizing Committee, pointed to the Congress as a leading global platform that fosters cross-border collaboration and forges partnerships which promote innovation, thereby providing promising opportunities in this vital sector.
The Congress, organized by Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center and WAM, will feature various educational platforms, the NexTech (software) platform, an Innovation Council, roundtable discussions, and workshops.
Within the guiding framework “Shaping the Future of the Media Industry,” the Congress will gather representatives from government, media, academia, and industry for thematic sessions led by high-level media industry experts until November 16.
