Spanish airline Binter inaugurated its new customer service offices in Agadir on Saturday.
One office is located within the city center, while the other facility comprises an information and sales point at the Agadir-Al Massira airport terminal.
“The Canary Islands-based company opened these new service offices in Agadir to better connect with its clients and partner travel agencies, and to provide local services,” said Ibrahima Khalil Niang, the Africa zone manager at Binter, to MAP.
He added that Binter currently operates flights to several destinations in Morocco, including Marrakech, Dakhla, Guelmim, and Laâyoune, and announced that the company will begin connecting the Canary Islands to Madrid starting in February, 2024.
Niang stated that Binter aims to expand its network in Morocco through these new connections, noting that Morocco holds an important and strategic position in Binter’s commercial policy.
The airline started connecting Agadir to the Canary Islands in 2012 and has transported over 100,000 passengers on the 2,241 flights operated since then.
Binter currently operates flights to Gran Canaria airport every Sunday, and during the summer season from July to September, this weekly connection is extended to a second flight every Thursday.
Starting in February, 2024, Binter will connect the Canary Islands to Madrid daily, with 4 round-trip flights from Gran Canaria Airport and 4 more from Tenerife North.
