In commemoration of the 48th anniversary of the Green March, Dakhla is hosting its 2nd “Dakhla Green Week” from November 15 to 19, featuring an intriguing array of cultural, artistic, and environmental events.
The event will include eco-responsible actions aimed at young people, as well as a series of enticing musical evenings presented by numerous local artists, promoting cultural entertainment in the pearl of the South.
With its focus on the environment, the program is intended to raise awareness and instill sustainable values and practices in future generations, such as protecting marine and terrestrial flora, keeping the city’s beaches and alleyways clean, and cultivation of trees.
Each evening, the squares of Dakhla will vibrate to the rhythms of the local artists, singing and playing traditional Hassani songs and highlighting Hassani culture and its powerful messages.
The organizers have planned a children’s village with fun activities and craft and art classes, as well as mini-shows and water-saving awareness campaigns, for the delight of younger visitors.
