“If the head of Spanish Socialist Worker Party (PSEO) Pedro Sanchez does not stop making concessions to separatist entities, he will end up facing a coup from the Spanish army responding to far-right wing and Civil Action organization calls,” political expert Ida Hassan told Barlamane yesterday.
Sanchez’s agreement with Juntas per Catalunya has angered many right-wing parties.
Hassan noted that following an attempt to hold an illegal referendum on independence for Catalunya on Oct 1, 2017, a Spanish General stated that the Spanish army would not allow the division of the Kingdom and would stop any attempt to divide Spanish national unity and integrity.
The letter sent by the group Civil Action, titled ‘Letter from the people to the armed forces and security forces and bodies,’ called on behalf of Spanish society for “a response from the Spanish Army, the Civil Guard and the National Police.”
It highlighted “the extreme seriousness of the situation” and stated “The partyocracy is breaking up the country with separatism, political marketing and loss of national sovereignty.” Although it did not mention the name of Pedro Sánchez, the timing seemed too coincidental.
The letter concluded with a direct message: “Please help us! Give us a sign of support!”
Civil Action members and right-wing supporters will go in pairs to various military barracks to deliver the document to all the barracks in each province “to cover the entire national territory in one week.”
Members have also been requested to visit military facilities, document the letter’s delivery, and photograph the event.
