The Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) announced on Tuesday that strong winds and dust storms are expected in several northern and eastern regions of Morocco on Thursday and Friday.
The DGM warned highway users to exercise caution, particularly on Rabat-Tangier and Fes-Oujda routes, as well as to check the traffic conditions prior to anticipated travel.
The agency had recently issued an alert bulletin showing an orange-level warning notably for the northern provinces of Larache, Fahs-Anjra, Tangier-Assilah, Tetouan, Mdiq-Fnideq, Ouazzane, and Chefchaouen. The poor weather conditions were mainly caused by Storm Bernard which damaged crops, trees, and greenhouses.
