Many pro-polisario internet sources, as the so-called Sahara Press Service, acknowledged that the polisario militias were behind the explosions that targeted three neighborhoods in the Es-Smara city (south of Morocco) late Saturday. The blast caused the death of one person, and injured three, two gravely; in addition to material damage to two houses.
The website reported that the self-proclaimed “Sahrawi army of liberation” fired missiles at what it said were locations of the Moroccan armed forces, even claiming that it also targeted the city’s airport.
Many consider that the escalation in the Middle East could inspire the fake entity of polisario, all the more so because Iran and its satellite Hezbollah are moving some proxy groups to strengthen their presence in the region.
Morocco cut off ties with Iran back in 2018 after discovering that it was training and arming the polisario militias. Senior Hezbollah officials had even visited the Tindouf camps in 2016 and met with polisario military leaders.
Hamas senior political leader Ismail Haniyeh had publicly thanked Iran for providing weapons, funding and technology to face the mounting violence in the Gaza Strip.
