Morocco’s national karate team was crowned champion of the 3rd edition of the 2023 World Combat Games, held in the Saudi capital of Riyadh from October 19 to 21, after winning six medals, taking first place in the Karate rankings.
The national team earned one gold medal, two silvers, and one bronze.
Morocco finished ahead of Saudi Arabia, which came second with four medals, and Algeria with three medals.
Teams from Egypt, Greece, Colombia, Belgium, Turkey, Hong Kong (China) and Montenegro participated.
Head of the Moroccan Federation of Karate and Associated Disciplines Mohamed Mouktabil continues to achieve strong success at the continental, regional, and worldwide levels.
Morocco’s participation in the competition glows with getting seven medals and ranking fifth, after Ukraine, Independent Athletes, China and Saudi Arabia, respectively.
