Morocco took the top spot in all of Africa for remote work with a score of 0.657, followed by Tunisia (0.645), Mauritius (0.630), and South Africa (0.608), according to the Global Remote Work Index (GRWI).
According to the cybersecurity company NordLayer’s new study, Morocco took the third spot among Arab countries after Saudi Arabia (0.685) and the United Arab Emirates (0.668).
Morocco secured a place in the global top 50, ranking 48th out of 108 countries, as Europe’s northern region was well represented (Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, and Estonia) in the top 10 GRWI 2023 rankings, and as Spain and Portugal nabbed the 4th and 6th spots, respectively.
The GRWI measures the degree of cybersecurity, along with digital and physical infrastructure, and various pertinent socioeconomic factors in each market.
