Morocco is in for a change in the weather, and various regions within the Kingdom will experience different conditions. Heavy rain and strong wind gusts with a potential for dust storms are expected from Thursday into Friday, as announced by the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) on Tuesday.
The DGM’s meteorological alert bulletin shows an orange-level warning for the northern provinces of Larache, Fahs-Anjra, Tangier-Assilah, Tetouan, Mdiq-Fnideq, Ouazzane, and Chefchaouen, and states that they will experience heavy rainfall (30-45 millimeters) between Thursday at 6 P.M. and Friday at 3 A.M.
Furthermore, strong wind gusts with dust storms (80 to 95 km/h) are expected on Thursday from 9 A.M. to 11 P.M. in the provinces of Tetouan, Mdiq-Fnideq, Fahs-Anjra, Larache, Tangier-Assilah, Chefchaouen, and Al Hoceima, as stated by the DGM.
The provinces of Kenitra, Sidi Slimane, Sidi Kacem, Salé, Rabat, Skhirate-Temara, Mohammedia, Benslimane, Nouaceur, Mediouna, Sidi Bennour, El Jadida, Casablanca, Berrechid, Safi, Khemisset, Nador, Berkane, Driouch, El Hajeb, Moulay Yacoub, Taza, Fez, Ifrane, Sefrou, Taounate, Meknes, and Khenifra, are also anticipated to face strong wind gusts with dust storms (70 to 75 km/h) on Thursday from noon to 11 P.M., as indicated by the same source.
