A minor 3.5-magnitude tremor was felt in the early hours of Friday (around 1 A.M.) in the region of Zagora (Drâa-Tafilalet, specifically), announced the director of the National Institute of Geophysics (ING) Nasser Jebbour.
Jebbour said that residents felt only a slight tremor, given the relatively low magnitude.
He added that this aftershock of the deadly earthquake that struck several regions in Morocco on September 08 was recorded in the city despite its distance from the epicenter of the earthquake.
The death toll of the massive 7-magnitude earthquake that hit Morocco reached 2,946, in addition to 5,674 injured.
