Morocco’s Foodex organization is exhibiting for the fifth year in a row at “Fruit Attraction,” one of the largest international agricultural exhibitions in the world taking place from Oct. 3 to 5 in Madrid, Spain, organized by the Madrid Exposition and the Spanish Federation of Fruit and Vegetable Producers’ and Exporters’ Associations.
The expo’s opening ceremony kicked off on Tuesday with remarks by Spain’s Acting Minister of Agriculture Luis Planas and Acting State Clerk for Migration Isabel Castro Fernandez.
Ambassador of Morocco to Spain Karima Benyaich was on hand to open the massive Morocco Foodex pavilion, covering an area of 450 square meters.
Foodex is an independent export control and coordination institution, established to enhance Morocco’s position in international markets, especially in Europe, by offering a variety of Moroccan agricultural products and highlighting the experience and potential of Moroccan companies working in the fresh produce sector.
The Tangier-Mediterranean Port also participated in the expo, highlighting its logistics services to importers, exporters, and other sector players.
Fruit Attraction has become one of the most important agricultural expos for fresh produce in the Mediterranean region, attracting more than 90,000 visitors representing about 137 countries and nearly 2000 exhibitors.
The expo’s vision is to be a global hub for the marketing of fresh products, where innovation, quality, and diversity are key components of growth strategies for producers, vendors, and retailers around the world.
