Moroccan airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) and Air Sénégal signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Casablanca on Wednesday, agreeing to increase the number of available flights and expanding both scheduling options and service days.
Hamid Addou, Chairman and CEO of RAM, and Alioune Badara Fall, CEO of Air Sénégal, signed the MoU that they say benefits both airlines and their passengers and will promote economic, social, and cultural exchanges.
Augmenting their business collaboration through a “Codeshare” deal, passengers will be able to buy tickets using either airline’s sales network and travel on both Royal Air Maroc and Air Sénégal’s fleets to destinations in either country.
“During the numerous preparatory meetings,” Addou said, “we expressed our strong commitment to establishing a strategic and enduring partnership with Air Sénégal,” in a partnership that is “perfectly aligned” with the two countries’ excellent diplomatic relations.
Badara Fall emphasized that RAM and Air Sénégal are now “translating into action the desire of the highest authorities of both countries” to strengthen this “air bridge” for both passenger and cargo transportation.
