Moroccan Tourism Office (ONMT) posted a video on Tuesday in which the President of the National Tourism Confederation and other leaders of the tourism industry in Morocco emphasized that the sector in Morocco continues to operate normally, with a commitment to ensuring a guaranteed safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors.
Tourism leaders from the National Tourism Confederation, including hoteliers, travel agents, restaurateurs, and guides, as well as the presidents of the Regional Tourism Councils from all regions of Morocco, ensured that the Moroccan tourism sector continues to operate normally and that all professionals in the sector are mobilized to guarantee the best experience for all visitors.
The officials affirmed in the video that all hotels are open and comply with anti-seismic standards, and the sector is working hard to provide the same level of organization and professionalism as before the earthquake.
The ONMT also said that it immediately implemented a series of measures to deal with the repercussions on the tourism sector following the earthquake.
The Office has maintained constant communication with the National Tourism Confederation and Moroccan professionals to manage the tourists present in Morocco during the disaster and the days following, as well as those arriving.
Additionally, the ONMT contacted all its foreign partners, including tour operators, airlines, and national travel associations, to reassure them the situation in Morocco is stable.
