Approximately 375 people are still receiving medical care as a result of the earthquake that struck south-central Morocco on September 8, Morocco’s Ministry of Health and Social Protection reported on Tuesday. 54 of those are critically injured and being treated in intensive care units.
It reported that 14,885 individuals have now recovered from their injuries.
The official death toll of the earthquake is now 2,946, according to the latest update from the Interior Ministry.
Dozens of Moroccan national institutions and companies have pledged funds to help with earthquake relief, and thousands of individuals both within Morocco and outside the kingdom are helping in kind or offering financial support for Morocco’s disaster relief.
