The Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) reported that heavy thunderstorms and hail will affect several regions across Morocco on Friday.
The DGM stated in an orange level warning bulletin that these storms are expected to affect the cities of Nador, Driouch, Jerada, Figuig, Boulmane, and Midelt, from 1:00p.m. to 11:00p.m. The area should expect 25-35 millimeters of rain.
This alert came amid ongoing rescue operations in many areas affected by the deadly earthquake that struck several regions in Morocco on September 8.
The Interior Ministry said that the official death toll from the earthquake reached 2,946 on Wednesday, with 5,674 people wounded.
