The Israeli Foreign Ministry had successfully contacted all 479 Israeli citizens who were in Morocco when the deadly earthquake hit the country Friday night, reported I24 news.
The vast majority of them were identified and contacted shortly.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry had announced that 56 nationals had gone missing in Morocco after the massive quake, but succeeded to contact all of them by Saturday night. Their safe return will be arranged asap.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had already directed all ministries and relevant agencies to provide help to the Moroccan people. “We will help in any way that we can,” he said.
The latest quake death toll stands at 2,012. The number of the wounded is 2,059, including 1,404 gravely.
