Airbus delivered two H135M helicopters to Morocco’s Royal Air Force on Wednesday, under a sales agreement with the French manufacturer that will provide 12 more ones, reported the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) on its Facebook Page.
The H135, a lightweight twin-engine helicopter and a leader in its category of aircraft, will be used to train FRA pilots for a wide range of demanding missions, including search and rescue missions.
The contract with Airbus also includes a comprehensive range of support services, including the delivery of training equipment, flight training, and the training of instructor pilots and maintenance personnel.
According to Airbus, with more than 130 units operated by militaries worldwide for training missions, the H135 is a proven leader, having already completed over 400,000 hours of military training flights.
In addition to the H135, Morocco is also expecting the delivery of 24 AH-64 Apache helicopters, acquired from American aerospace manufacturer Boeing.
