Morocco’s Kickboxing team will participate in the Arab Championship taking place between September 6th through the 10th in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq, announced the Royal Moroccan Federation of Kickboxing, Muay-Thai, Savate and Similar Sports in a press reslease.
Morocco will be represented by six kickboxers in different weight classes: Mouhcine Boufar (-54 kg), Zakaria Jamal (-57 kg), Mourad Bouharma Laaroussi (-67 kg), Hamza Ahmidach (-63,5 kg), Merouane Diouri (-71 kg), and Mohamed Krafes (-81 kg).
To prepare for this event, the Moroccan team held a closed-door training session at the Moulay Rachid Royal Sports Institute in Salé.
International referee Fettah Houssine leads the Moroccan squad, which includes national coach Lahcen Ouassou and assistant coach Houssine Zahidi, as well as doctor Ibrahim Ait Nasser. 15 countries will participate at this event, according to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
