Morocco showcased its traditional handcrafts and travel brochures at the 8th edition of the Colorful World Cultural Exhibition that began on Saturday in the Chinese capital Beijing, participating alongside 30 other countries.
The Moroccan Embassy in China set up a pavilion at the capital’s Shougang Park exposition center, presenting Morocco’s cultural, civilizational, and touristic heritage.
The Moroccan pavilion is aimed at attracting visitors with vibrant colors, captivating paintings, mint tea, posters, books, and an assortment of handicrafts, demonstrating the expertise of Moroccan master artisans, according to 2M.
Additionally, the pavilion featured institutional films and promotional videos that emphasized Morocco’s touristic and economic potential, as well as the various types of wealth available.
The Chinese tourism sector can send 100 million tourists abroad a year, and more can be expected in the post-COVID era.
The exhibition aims “to promote dialogue and cultural exchanges” between Beijing and the rest of the world. It also serves to strengthen relations between other countries and China as a whole, especially to countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
