Moroccan Olympic and world champion Soufiane El Bakkali won the 3,000-meter steeplechase on Saturday in the Wanda Diamond League, currently held in Xiamen (China).
El Bakkali snatched gold for running the obstacle race in 8:10.31.
Ethiopian Samuel Firewu was awarded the silver medal with a time of 8:11.29, while Kenyan Amos Serem got a bronze (8:14.41).
Moroccan runners Mohamed Tindouft and Mohammed Msaad came 9th (8:21.16) and 11th (8:22.77) respectively.
El Bakkali had won the 3,000 m steeplechase final competition, as part of the 19th World Athletics Championships held in Budapest (Hungary) on Aug. 19-27, with a time of 8:03.53.
