Morocco’s airline, Royal Air Maroc (RAM), has halted flights to and from Libreville, Gabon’s capital, on Wednesday.
“Due to the closure of Gabon’s airspace, we are forced to cancel flights to and from Libreville,” the air service provider announced on X (formerly Twitter).
RAM is offering its customers two options to choose from to mitigate the impact of cancellations. Passengers may change their flight without a change fee within 15 days following the reopening of Gabon’s airspace. Only one free flight change to or from Libreville will be permitted, depending on availability.
RAM will also allow passengers to change their flight to another African destination, but they must bear airport tax differences resulting from the change.
RAM will send passengers with verified contact information email and SMS notifications regarding their flight cancellation. RAM is encouraging travelers to check their flight status and update their contact information now. Instead of visiting airports, they should seek support from their initial point of sale or the RAM call center.
