The Moroccan national cycling team has retained its 26th spot in the world rankings and the second in Africa, trailing Eritrea, according to the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI).
Morocco has 1706 points, behind Eritrea (3535.24 points), which is the 19th in the world and first in Africa.
South Africa slid to third in Africa and 28th globally (1385.57 points), followed by Algeria (fourth in Africa and 30th in the world).
Morocco’s “Sidi Ali-Unlock” topped the continental team rankings with 194 points, followed by Rwanda’s “May Stars” (90 points) and Angola’s “Bicycle Petro Luanda” (50 points).
For the Africa Tour, Moroccan individual rider Achraf Ed-Doghmi came in fourth with 532 points, while his fellow countryman Adil Arbaoui moved up one spot to sixth (375 points).
