Morocco’s Bank Al-Maghrib (central bank – BAM) unveiled a commemorative, silver 250 dirham (DH) coin on Sunday to mark the 70th anniversary of the Revolution of the King and the People, stated BAM in a news release.
On one side of the coin is the face of a young King Mohammed VI, with “Mohammed VI” and “Kingdom of Morocco” engraved in Arabic, and the years 2023 & 1445 at the bottom.
On the other side is the inscription “the King and People’s Revolution” in Arabic at the top of the coin, with its French translation at the bottom.
In the middle is an artistic representation of Moroccan flags (in color) being lifted up energetically over the Port of Dakhla by arms symbolizing the people contributing to the development of the Kingdom’s southern regions. Crowning this scene is the Kingdom’s Coat of Arms.
The coin’s alloy is made up of .925 silver and .075 copper. It weighs 28.28 grams and measures 38.61 millimeters in diameter.
