Casablanca’s Police Services busted, on Friday, a drug trafficking operation and seized a large catch of 4 tons and 756 kg of cannabis resin, locally known as chira.
The National Police (DGSN) reported that the drug was stashed inside a car and meant for international trafficking. Police search revealed that the illegal substance was packed inside 102 bundles.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the 30yo driver, wanted nationally, was using forged license plates.
The suspect is in police custody pending further investigations, under the competent Public Prosecution.
