Tourist police units in Marrakech, Agadir, Tangier, Rabat, Casablanca and Fez will have a facelift, as of Thursday, with new uniforms and vehicles.
According to security sources, the vehicles bear the national police’s logo with markings in red and green. The unit’s name “tourist police” is marked on the windows, along with police number “19”.
The car’s visible affiliation will help teams operate more efficiently in public spaces and tourism sites.
The visuals also include orange bands that officers would wrap around their shoulders, while on duty, to facilitate their identification.
The upgrade reflects the police’s commitment to ensuring security, especially during tourism season.
