Nine people perished and at least six others suffered serious injuries, Tuesday in a tragic accident on the road between Khouribga and Fkih Ben Saleh (Central Morocco), local media reported.
The incident occurred around 7 p.m., when a mini-bus and two cars collided, killing eight women and a child, according to Khouribga’s authorities.
Two of the injured are in a critical condition and were transferred to the city of Casablanca. The remaining five are receiving treatment in the Khouribga city hospital.
As soon as alerted, local authorities, Gendarmerie, and Civil Protection rushed to the scene for relief operations.
In August 2022, the same region witnessed one of the deadliest accidents known as “Khouribga’s accident”, claiming the lives of more than 22 victims, and injuring 33 others.
Last week, a road accident near Demnate town, central Morocco, took the life of 24 passengers. The tragedy happened when a vehicle overturned and crashed into a ravine, leaving no one alive.
