Rachid Talbi El Alami, the Speaker of Morocco’s Lower House, represented King Mohammed VI at the swearing-in ceremony of Paraguay’s new president, Santiago Peña, on Tuesday, reported Morocco’s News Agency (MAP).
World leaders including Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Argentina’s Alberto Fernández, Uruguay’s Luis Lacalle Po, Chile’s Gabriel Boric, and Spain’s King Felipe VI, along with delegations from 90 countries, all converged on the Palacio de López in the Paraguayan capital of Asunción to celebrate President Peña’s inauguration.
El Alami was escorted by the Kingdom’s ambassador to Paraguay, Badreddine Abdelmoumni.
In a letter, King Mohammed VI congratulated President Peña on his election and expressed his commitment to promoting a lasting friendship between the two countries, strengthening their shared interests, and consolidating South-South cooperation.
