The Sovereign offered his heartfelt condolences and sincere compassion to President Biden, the bereaved families, and the American people, expressing Morocco’s solidarity and compassion.
The confirmed death toll from these devastating wildfires rose to 99 on Monday, according to international news outlets.
More than 2,700 structures in the city of Lahaina were destroyed at an estimated value of $5.6 billion. The Lahaina fire was one of multiple blazes on the island that began last Tuesday.
Authorities will begin Tuesday releasing the names of those who died in the blaze after notifying their families.
